From time to time, our users are unable to see the Live Web cam images on their computers. There are several things that might be causing this.
A. When a user first arrives on a live Web cam page, they will be prompted to either install an ActiveX Component that will enable the photo version web cams & PTZ cams or to install Windows Media Player to see the Streaming web cams.. If the user denies either installation, then that user will not be able to view the images.
Photo version & PTZ web cams install the Axis ActiveX Component, please download and install the following Axis Communications File.
AxisCameraServerControl
Streaming Web cams use Windows Media Player.
PC's users can install Windows Media Player
For Mac users there is a
Windows Media® Components for QuickTime, by Flip4Mac™
--Snow Leopard use Safari or FireFox Browsers
--Lion use FireFox Browser
B.We have a new cam system on some of our streaming cams, this system is Adobe Flash based and will also work on iPhone's/iPad's and Android devises.
On your computer and Android devises you will need the Flash Player installed.
C. In some newer browser versions (IE 9) you may need to click the Compatibility View button to get the cameras to work.

D. Our Web Cam's depends on quite a few "links" beyond our control, such as the Florida Keys Power Grid, our internet connections (AT+T), (Comcast) and the dozens of links and hops between us and you. If there's a hiccup at any one of these links, the Web Cam's may not work.
E. The Web cam images may not work can be caused by the security level set in the users browser. To verify that your security settings will allow the streaming Web cam images, please follow these steps (when using Microsoft Internet Explorer):
-
In IE, click the Tools menu, then select Internet Options
Click the Security tab.
Make sure that the security level is set to Medium or Low and click OK
F. Green screen appears when playing an item:
This problem lies in Windows Media Player. Microsoft
has lately released a patch for Windows Media Player
that fixes this problem. In order to fix this problem
we recommend you do as follows:
Go to the following link http://support.microsoft.com/?id=898549
In the above link, you will see the following link: "Download the WindowsMedia10-KB898549-x86-ENU.exe
package now."
Click on it to install the patch.
If the above patch does not fix your problem,
you can work around it:
Right-click on your desktop and select Properties.
Go to Settings tab and click on the Advanced button.
Go to Troubleshoot tab and decrease the hardware acceleration one notch.
Play an item. If the green screen still appears, reduce the hardware acceleration
another notch. Repeat this process until the green screen no longer appears.
G. Another reason why the Web cam images may not work,
is that we do change the web cam pages from time to time. In order for
you to get the most current pages, you need to set your browser to not
cache any web pages, and also you need to delete your temporary internet
files from time to time.
If you have completed these steps and are still unable to see the Live Web Cam images, please complete the following form to report your specific troubles.
